Mount Union to host panel with state election officials

"The panel is also open to members of the community. Kumler said it is a great opportunity for people to hear from election officials they might not otherwise interact with.

The discussion will be moderated by sophomore political science major Sky McCloskey, of Vienna.

The 20-year-old is a democracy fellow with the Campus Vote Project, a national organization that works will colleges and universities to increase student voter turnout.

'I feel like a lot of people don't really get interested in politics now, especially since the big election is over," McCloskey said. "Now it's just a local election, but they don't really realize how important that is. It's important to get that information out to them."
