Black voter turnout was at its highest during the Obama elections, but saw its biggest decline in 20 years in 2016. This year’s expansion of early voting has not only re-engaged the Black vote, but Black male and first-time voters are taking their issues to the polls.

Dara Kennedy spoke with two energized young voters and caught up with Spencer Reed of Campus Vote Project, a young political star on the rise, to learn more about these voting blocs.
