"Stevens Point, Wis. (WAOW) -- UWSP is one of about 230 campuses across the country to earn the "Voter Friendly Campus" designation after their efforts during the 2020 election.
Students pioneered the effort, with the Student Government Association holding several voter registration drives and joining a Milwaukee Bucks youth voting initiative.
They also worked to get a ballot drop box installed on campus, as well as providing free voter ID cards and transportation to voting sites. Student body president Colin Nygren says their goal was to identify and address barriers towards students' ability to vote."
