What is a voter friendly campus? Longwood University earned the designation this month, given by the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the Fair Election Center's Campus Vote Project.
Matthew McWilliams, the university's assistant vie president for communications, explains in detail what the designation means.
"(It is) a recognition f the efforts that we as a campus, through carious student-led and university initiatives, have taken to promote college student's participation in the political process and foster a culture of democratic engagement on campus," McWilliams said, "It recognizes that we have committed to voter registration, education, and turnout as party of our mission".
